Op.49 – a film of a performance by Miguel Pereira
I was an artistic collaborator and guest performer for this project by Portuguese Choreographer Miguel Pereira.
The film featured is an experimental documentary of the rehearsal for Op.49 performance at Nottingham Playhouse. It uses footage that I filmed during the rehearsals (so light is limited), footage of the live performance from a fixed camera position and found footage from various sources. It is edited in such a way as to reference some of the artistic concepts and issues we explored in the production of the work.
